¿Cuales son los riesgos de una dieta vegana?

Con una dieta vegana bien llevada, ninguno.

1) NO existe un solo nutriente necesario para la salud en el mundo animal que no exista en el mundo vegetal. La B12 que tanta promoción le han dado y que tanto preocupa a los anti-veganos la encuentras en el alga Clorella y es muy fácil reforzarla en suplemento. Ahí se acaba la lista.

2) Por lo tanto NO existe una sola enfermedad o déficit de ningún nutriente en el ser humano que sean causados por una dieta vegana bien llevada.

3) Lo que sí existe son omnívoros y también veganos que comen muy mal. Eso no tiene nada que ver con ser o no vegano.

4) Consumir carnes y lácteos es muy dañino para tu salud. Llena tu cuerpo de toxinas como hormonas, antibióticos, químicos y descomposición. No contienen fibra por lo que se estancan en el cuerpo por mucho más tiempo. Son fuente de radicales libres los cuales causan envejecimiento prematuro. Son ácidos y por lo tanto desmineralizan todo tu sistema y causan irritación estomacal. Son mucho más difíciles de digerir y por lo tanto le quitan mucha energía al cuerpo y otras funciones importantes como la actividad mental y combatir enfermedades. Este sobre esfuerzo innecesario del aparato digestivo para digerir carnes te hace dormir mal y sentirte con baja energía durante todo el día. Te invade de grasas saturadas lo cual provoca obesidad y problemas de colesterol. Y encima de todos estos problemas a corto plazo, también son causa directa de enfermedades graves como el cáncer (por el ambiente ácido que generan) y la diabetes.

5) Si te preocupa mucho de donde “sacar las proteínas”, la buena noticia es que TODAS las proteínas son creadas originalmente por el mundo vegetal. Los animales obtienen su proteína de las plantas y después el hombre obtiene esas proteínas de segunda mano en el caso de comer carne o leche animal. Por ejemplo, las almendras tienen más proteína que cualquier plato de carne cocinada. Definitivamente es muy fácil tener un nivel óptimo de proteínas con una dieta vegana.

6) SÍ, los pescados también son animales y también son “carne”.

7) Aunque a nadie le guste este punto, es tristemente real. Torturamos y matamos cruelmente a más de 50 mil millones de animales al año para consumo humano. Comer carnes y lácteos es fomentar estas prácticas directamente.

8) Los recursos de agua, alimento y energía para mantener a estos 50 mil millones de pobres animales podrían abastecer a TODOS los 8 mil millones de humanos en el Planeta por generaciones. Ah, y ese abuso de los recursos es la primera causa de devastación del Planeta.

¿Es entonces el “sabe rico” razón suficiente para seguir consumiendo carnes y lácteos? La realidad es que todos buscamos justificar de cualquier manera posible lo que nos produce placer y hasta nos ofendemos con tal de defenderlo aunque sepamos que está mal. Es ahí cuando escuchamos: “es muy caro” “me van a faltar proteínas” “me voy a enfermar” “por eso tenemos colmillos” “es parte de la vida” “yo no voy a hacer la diferencia” “me va a faltar b12” “no se que comer” “siempre hemos comido animales” etc etc etc. Basta informarse un poco para darse cuenta que todas estas respuestas son solo una justificación hedonista. Y basta echarle solo un poquito de ganas para hacer una gran diferencia contigo mismo.
